“All children are artists. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up.”

- Pablo Picasso

We all have something to contribute to the craft of making, and the more we make the more we understand material, process, nature, the design of the human world around us, and perhaps even ourselves.

I’m rethinking my creative practice and the way I view creative communications. Objects for example, are not inherently objective and can be perceived and interpreted in several ways, exploring these ‘ways’ can form new visual languages and a better understanding of ‘things’ ‘messages’ and ‘words’.

So why bother with this all-too-obvious component of the human world?

Firstly there’s arts for arts’ sake, educational outreach, solutions-thinking, inventiveness, product design, and the clear improvement of well-being and human health that creative practice offers through collaboration and making.

There’s nothing to prove here and everything to gain, welcome to ObjectArtLab.
